Job Description

Pool and Spa Depot is looking to hire a Service Department Manager to be based in our LaVergne, TN, headquarters.

The Service Department Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the In-House Service Department, ensuring efficiency while maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and install pool related equipment such as, safety pool covers, safety fences, etc. for residential and commercial customers
• Ability to explain and schedule pool openings, pool closings and routine pool maintenance.
• Handle calls in a customer service focused manner
• Provide repair and service quotes for customers
• Coordinate service technicians including scheduling and daily tasks
• Provide timely resolution of customer complaints, concerns and inquiries
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
• Support ongoing learning, training and development of team
• Maintain strong communication with ownership and leadership
• Manage a team of 5 to 10 employees including time keeping and disciplinary actions
• Interview, hire and train new staff
• Attend management meetings and give department updates

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a service role.
• Current and valid Driver's License
• Demonstrated experience supervising, leading and motivating a team
• Previous experience in swimming pool equipment, maintenance & repair is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and/or Google Docs
• Organizational and problem solving skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Willing to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
