The Opportunity:
Responsible for serving food and beverages at company events to all Guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional
manner in accordance with Grand Casino’s service standards in a non-cash handling function.
What You Get to Do:
- Responsible for prompt, efficient, and courteous service of food and beverages to Guests in accordance with venue standards.
- Performs necessary tasks to service Guests, i.e., taking and filling all drink orders and assisting in maintaining dining
- area in a clean and neat manner.
- Responsible for cleaning all tables, resetting them for new seating; ensuring tables are set in accordance with venue standards.
- Responsible for knowing event menus and offerings and applying that knowledge with suggestive selling techniques to enhance the Guest-dining experience.
- Responsible for restocking stations with glassware, silverware, beverages, napkins, and any other items needed for service.
- Responsible for the Guest's needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
- Participates as a team member with Grand Casino Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Guest service.
- Assist other personnel with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.
- Responsible for always maintaining a clean and sanitary area in full accordance with established health regulations.
- Knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and the Server's responsibilities and rights under it.
- Other duties as requested.

What Qualifies You:
- Server experience of one (1) year preferred.
- Alcohol Awareness Training is required within two (2) months and will be provided as needed.
- Must be able to secure a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority.
- Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGRs).
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
Physical Needs:
- Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
- See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
- Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
- Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.
