The Data Scientist 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity. The Data Scientist 1 develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting. Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Up to 3 years of technical experience, SAS programing, Excel proficiency Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business Experience in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions Possesses an understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas Capable of making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Additional Information You must be authorized to work in the US without Humana sponsorship as Humana does not provide work visa sponsorship for this role. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
