The opportunity

The Associate Director, IT Manufacturing and Operations is responsible for the operations phase of MES systems based on the Werum PASx solution implemented in Teva. The system is integrated in the manufacturing operations and once implemented plays a crucial role in the process. The Associate Director will lead a team of PASx experts and technical owners and be ultimately responsible that all PASx MES systems in Teva are kept in validated, controlled state, and available for business usage as intended. Role will also oversee enhancements and retrofits implementations and will participate in the global projects initiatives.

How you’ll spend your day

• Lead a global team of MES system experts and Technical Owners and be available to guide them when needed
• Collaborate with the local and global system stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure good communication between IT and business
• Monitor and analyze organizational KPIs and try to improve them
• Prepare and hold presentations for the Teva IT organization, local and global business units, manufacturing operations, external contractors and any other stakeholders
• Prepare annual budget and resource plans, manage licenses and maintenance costs
• Lead or supervise retrofit projects, system upgrades, enhancements deployments
• Contribute to technical designs that support implementation of business requirements
• Partner and coordinate with internal and external technology teams during design activities and execution phase
• Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures
• Other projects and duties as required/assigned

Your experience and qualifications

Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience as a business analyst in pharma manufacturing
• At least 3 years of technical experience with MES systems
• Fluent in English
• Ability to communicate technical language in a non-technical manner
• Excellent communication, negotiation, financial, business partnering, and writing skills
• Good project management skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with GxP and regulated systems, including the execution of IT computer systems validation deliverables and processes
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated experience in IT systems operations, new systems implementation, and the IT software development lifecycle
• Technical experience (administration, configuration, management, etc.) with the Werum PASx MES system
• Knowledge of the Werum KPI is a plus
• Knowledge of Automation or Engineering systems is a plus
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, databases, networks, security) is a plus
• Experience with SDLC and ITIL is a plus
• People management experience
